How to Beat the Giant Gorilla

The giant red gorilla is the landmark boss in Sword Hunter, not a catchable pet and not a first-session errand. Official shots put a hunter facing it across tropical islands. The New Area Adventure listing around Wednesday, September 2, 2026 lines that fight up with the purple portal and volcano islands. This page is how to beat it: prep the merge, refuse to walk in with a stick, use the 12-player server, then convert loot. The broader hunt-to-cash loop still lives on the monster farm guide. Geography lives on new areas. Come here when the target is the gorilla itself.

Sword Hunter is a free Roblox incremental simulator from Blade Evolution Tycoon, live since July 31, 2026. Servers hold 12 players and friends can team up in the same world. The gorilla does not care about that unless your blade can already kill island packs. Co-op is extra bodies, not a stick waiver.

What you are fighting

Catchable red and rainbow gorillas exist on the pet roster. Those use E Catch after you toggle auto-attack off. The giant gorilla is the huge one in the landscape. You fight it for loot. You do not catch it. If a smaller gorilla shows a catch prompt on the walk in, resolve Catch, then go back to the boss. Mixing those two creatures is how hunters mash E and wonder why the boss did not die.

The phoenix at 0.01% is also not this fight. That bird is a catch. This gorilla is damage. Keep the hunts separate.

Do not bring a stick

A LV.1 stick is not a boss plan. If you still have the tutorial twig, this page is not your next click. Play the how to play loop and the beginner getting-started plan until you have merged into a steel or gold blade at least. Comfortable gorilla hunts sit nearer a cave gem sword or the new sword tier called out on August 31, 2026. Rank 999 hunters treat the gorilla as a farm, not as a wall.

Readiness checks:

  • Island packs die quickly with auto-attack on.
  • You have pressed F so the merged sword is selected.
  • You have redeemed live codes so a free sword or cash dump is not sitting unclaimed.
  • You can walk away if the boss does not die. Pride is not a mechanic.

If those checks fail, farm weaker packs using the monster farm notes, merge at base using the merge swords guide, and come back. There is no secret emote. Cash and a better sword are the strategy. The sword tier list and the merge planner are the spending tools; this page will not invent a health bar.

Prep the merge, then the keys

Before you walk toward the gorilla:

  1. Redeem the live Store list. WELCOME, MONEY, LIKES100, NEWPET, LUCKY, LIKE1000, UPDATE, 1KCCU, NEWUPDATE, and SWORD are the September 2026 paste order on the codes hub. A gifted blade from SWORD still needs F.
  2. Merge if the next shown sword is in reach. Do not enter poor on purpose because the calendar says September 2.
  3. Press F. Confirm you are holding the blade you paid for.
  4. Equip a real pet. A wolf, fox, slime, gorilla pet, or bird is enough. Phoenix is a luxury, not an entry ticket. See hatch pets if the slot is empty.
  5. Decide the R toggle. Many hunters leave auto-attack on once the sword is strong enough. If you keep lunging at the wrong target, toggle R off and tap E for attacks. Catch prompts still steal E, so turn R off when a pet you want appears, then turn it back on. The controls guide is the key reference.

Skip the purple portal if you are only here to learn the fight on the starter islands. Take the portal when the new areas guide says your blade can survive the far side. New Area Adventure is a door, not a difficulty skip.

Co-op on 12-player servers

Friends help if they bring blades, not if they bring sticks. Stack on the gorilla when you actually need extra bodies. Spread out on volcano packs when twelve people on one spawn turns the fight into a cartoon. Online co-op is real; eight people on one slime is not a strategy, and twelve people blocking the boss camera is not a strategy either.

Rules that keep a group hunt honest:

  • Each hunter redeems their own codes. A friend’s MONEY paste does not fill your wallet.
  • Each hunter merges at their own base. Nobody else can press the button for you.
  • Call out catch prompts in chat so auto-attack does not eat a wolf on the walk in.
  • If one hunter is still on a stick, they stay on the beach. Carrying a twig through boss content wastes the mood of the run.
  • After the kill, everyone converts loot. A group screenshot with unspent cash is still a stalled merge.

You do not need a premade of twelve. Two or three hunters with steel or better will outperform a full server of sticks. Invite people who already know E, R, and F.

The fight, without invented numbers

Walk in with the merged blade selected. Toggle auto-attack on if packs around the boss already die. Stay on the gorilla instead of leaking onto nearby island trash. Convert nothing until the boss is down or you have already decided to leave.

If kills never happen, you are here too early. Leave. Farm the islands. Merge. Return. The September 2 date does not create a secret weak version of the gorilla. Sword Hunter is incremental, not an MMO level curve. You are under-merged, not under-leveled.

If kills are clean, finish the fight, convert loot to cash, and ask whether the next merge just became realistic. Boss loot that sits unspent is just a screenshot. Walk home. Merge. Press F. That is beating the gorilla in an incremental sim: the kill is the down payment, the merge is the point.

Do not spend the whole fight mashing E unless you need a catch on the walk in. R exists so the farm can run. Turn it off for a careful hit only if auto-attack keeps lunging at the wrong silhouette.

New areas and New Area Adventure

The gorilla is the event postcard and a mid-to-end farm. Hunters push the purple portal route because denser hunts sit on the volcano side. That is a gear check, not a lore puzzle. If you cannot kill island packs, you cannot treat the gorilla as a portal tutorial.

Read the New Area Adventure page for the Wednesday plan. Read this page for the boss habit. If patch notes and this guide ever disagree on what exists in the world, trust the updates hub and patch notes for the date, then come back here for the fight.

A portal session that still beats the gorilla:

  1. Redeem codes.
  2. Merge if the next blade is cheap enough to finish.
  3. Press F.
  4. Take the purple portal only if starter packs already die.
  5. Test one pack on the far side. Stay if it dies. Leave if it does not.
  6. Fight the gorilla when the blade can stand there.
  7. Convert, merge again if the boss just funded it, park before you log off.

Logging out next to a boss you cannot kill is not a park. Park a selected merged blade using the offline loot guide, then quit.

After the kill

Convert loot. Look at cash. Merge if the next rung is in reach. Press F. If you are done for the night, park that blade. If you still have time, return to a pack that now dies faster and repeat. The gorilla will still be there for the next session. It is a farm target once the sword is ready, which is why the mid-game hunter plan and endgame hunter plan keep sending people back to it.

Do not immediately open every egg. Do not immediately chase Rank 999 art. Ask whether this kill paid for a real merge. If it did not, you needed more prep, not a second screenshot.

Mistakes that keep the gorilla up

Stick first, merge never. The boss is a destination for a blade.

Forgetting F. You paid for gold and swung the twig.

Catching through auto-attack. You waste the pet and the pack. Toggle R.

Confusing the pet gorilla with the boss. Catchable gorillas are pets. This one is loot.

Splitting a 12-player group across random islands. Stack for the boss, then spread for packs.

Portal tourism on event day. New Area Adventure does not lower the merge requirement.

Never spending the pile. Beating the gorilla means the next sword exists, not that the camera got a red ape in frame.

Bring a merge you already trust. Walk the islands or the portal. Farm the gorilla if you can stand it. Go home and merge again. That is the whole boss guide, and the giant red gorilla will still be standing after you take that advice, which is exactly why you merge before you pose next to it.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Merge off the stick, press F, walk in with auto-attack on R, then convert loot and merge again. If it does not die, leave and farm using the monster farm guide.

Can I fight the gorilla with the LV.1 stick?

No. A stick is not a boss plan. Play the how to play loop and merge at base first. Details sit on merge swords.
